High-End Web Designer

 

We are looking nationwide for outstanding high-end web designers with diverse talents who can combine creative and technical experience to produce high-end e-commerce web sites for Fortune 2000 and other prestigious and name-brand companies.

The ideal candidate is well-organized and open to tackling a host of different projects. Familiarity with a variety of new media and new concepts, including DVD production and integrated internet marketing, is a big plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties will include:

  • Working with other designers and multimedia project teams.
  • Create compelling, user-centered visual design concepts for interactive products, optimizing the use of screen layout and user interface elements.
  • Assist creative/design team in development of product strategy, including creative platform, storyboards, creative concept, and production specs.
  • Reporting – Keep art directors, project managers and technical team informed of status against schedule, budget and client quality.
  • Team Development and Review – assist team to establish goals, timetables and cost estimates, contributing to progress reviews and problem solving.
  • Develop materials for new business development and internal use as required.
  • Work with graphic designers, programmers, project managers and clients, often in remote locations or offices, to create a quality finished project adhering to requirements.
  • Product Testing – Perform all initial tests on own work; reviewing performance against use-cases, production specs, user interface, and navigational boards; performing analysis of visual, structural and functional elements.
  • Constantly champion our product line and be on the lookout for building new lines of business with the client.

Requirements:

  • Must be a strong team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong design style, knowledge of typography, user-centered design principles and creative design problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Project planning/scheduling.
  • Expert knowledge of XHTML, DHTML, CSS, Java, Javascript, client-side scripting and ASP programming for interactive applications in compliance with creative brief, production specs and production methods determined by design or multimedia team.
  • Expert use of Dreamweaver, Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, ImageReady, Flash and other graphic applications in the production of high-quality web graphics.
  • Knowledge of additional digital technologies such as digital audio/video, PDF development and other technologies to be determined by our client and their internal needs.
  • Strong understanding of capabilities of various web browsers and development constraints of the Web and other interactive media.
  • Strong capabilities in the design support of print, direct mail, collateral and other printed advertising materials.
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • You must submit samples of your best work for our review and consideration.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 5 years experience working with interactive web interfaces is required.

Compensation:

6-figure compensation package
